For the artist Florian Simon Eiler, vines have always radiated something fascinating. He sees something mysterious and mystical in them, especially in the winter months, when it is foggy or in twilight. And everyone tells him their own story. One of these gnarled and unique archetypes inspired the wine lover to create a “rooted art object”: Despite the sometimes extremely twisted forms, the “old ones” in particular have one thing in common for him: a firm character, decades of experience and wise beauty – like a mature person. Decorated with imperial gold, supplemented with white, adorned with earthen balls and fixed in a stable base, the natural find has almost human features.
